International Kendo Federation
FIK is composed of National Kendo Federations, each of which exclusively represents the nation or region in Kendo.
FIK is a non-political and friendly organization and its purpose is to propagate and develop Kendo, Iaido and Jodo internationally and to foster the mutual trust and friendship among the affiliates.

Australian Kendo Renmei
The AKR is the internationally recognised, governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo in Australia.
Members of the AKR compete nationally and internationally and are eligible to attend international Kendo, Iaido and Jodo seminars and grading exams. The Kendo, Iaido and Jodo grading qualifications of AKR members are recognised internationally.

Australian Capital Territory Kendo Renmei
The ACTKR is the nationally recognised, governing body for Kendo, Seitei Iaido and Seitei Jodo in the Australian Capital Territory.
The ACT Kendo Renmei is affiliated with the AKR and the FIK. The latter is the international body representing Kendo, Iaido and Jodo. In the ACT there are three clubs who train in the three arts.

Australian National University Kendo Club
The ANU Kendo Club operates under the Sport and Recreation Association of the Australian National University, Canberra, and is the only kendo club in the Australian Capital Territory. It is affiliated with the AKR and the FIK.
The ANUKC trains four times a week throughout the year. ANUKC runs biannual courses for beginners, which are open to any and all who are interested (over the age of 16).
